Rotarians Get a Taste of Center Square’s Craft Brews
May 11, 2017: Members from the Rotary Club of Hanover and their Group Vocational Service Exchange enjoyed a taste of one of Hanover’s best craft brews at the Altland House yesterday. Rotarians Terry Gingrow and Warren Risk brought fellow Rotarian Vivi Lin-ya Huang from a club in Taiwan to tour Center Square Brewing. Members of Rotary clubs in South Central PA are in the partner district, Tai-Chung Taiwan, simultaneously expanding their vocational knowledge by taking part in the program.
Locally-Sourced Ingredients for Seasonal Brews
Vivi works in Taiwan in marketing for alcohol raw materials. She has a special interest in exploring the methods of brewing in the U.S. and understanding the ingredients used for the unique brews. The Center Square Brewing team at the Altland House were happy to show Vivi around. They shared the process of how they source their ingredients from the surrounding area and come up with the perfect brews to pair with seasonal menus. Three words: German chocolate stout! My husband had the Black & Blue burger and I had the Firecracker Shrimp wrap. Highly recommend both. Wonderful service as well.
